Students that take the live classes full time option (Premium Option) receive a full academic day calendar, which is offered when school is in session. For grades 8 and above this is 5 hours per day, from Monday to Friday and for grades 7 and below, 4 hours per day, from Monday to Friday.
This timetable consists of a mixture of live classes (approx. 2 hours per day), and self-study periods (approx. 2 or 3 hours per day depending on the grade) being, homework periods, class project periods, reading and research periods.
Due to the grade 5, 6 and 7 classes being very small in number, we only offer a “step down” schedule that is not as comprehensive as that offered from grade 8. This means students in grades 5, 6 and 7 that take the Live classes option (Premium Option) receive all lessons in audio format and only one live contact session per day.
Whilst this option only entails one live class per day, as the class sizes are very small, this allows for more individualized attention.
When students are not in a live class, they will be expected to be completing their other school tasks at the times and on the days stated in their calendar. We try to instil discipline, structure and routine so that students learn to adapt and apply themselves to an overall goal that becomes a way of life.
We believe this is an important life skill that will be to their benefit in any endeavour, for the rest of their lives.
All daily student timetables are available in each student’s online calendar interface once they login. To access this information, you need to be a registered student as you require a student login.
