Sponsored students have the opportunity to complete schooling up to a tertiary level and attain the American GED high school diploma, with the optional SAT college entrance exam thereby opening the door to studying at university, if required. This qualification is fully convertible to a South African matric. In addition, if necessary, students can study English (designed for second language English speakers) to become proficient for their high school curriculum and or for use in the workplace.
The GED diploma is issued by the State of Maine’s Education Dept. in the United States, and not by Cyber School. Consequently, the GED final exams are written at a GED centre, of which there are currently thirty nationwide. Final GED centre exams are only written at the end of term three, at the end of the final year. All exams prior to that time are done via Cyber School, internally and online.
We cater for students from Grade 5 all the way through to high school graduation. With our curriculum, students can complete school in eleven years, so they save a full year’s study! We do the South African curriculum up to Grade 9, and then an additional two years of the American GED curriculum, totalling eleven years of study.
We also optionally offer Cyber School English, an additional course consisting of 29 levels for those that cannot speak one word of English up to pre tertiary level. The English course also prepares students to write the Cambridge IELTS qualification, if required. Students can take a free evaluation test to determine their correct level of English competency, so that they are placed into the correct course level.

The only cost exclusions are final year/end GED exam costs of +/- US$240 and the SAT exam cost of +/- US$82 if required (These costs should be checked at time of booking. These exams are only taken once at the end of the student’s final year.) Plus in grades 5-9, students need a few novels per year that we cannot reproduce into ebook format and have to be purchased from the publishers in hard copy.

1.) The Sponsor would pay Cyber School the per student annual fee yearly in advance.
2.)The Sponsor would supply Cyber School with the applicant’s contact details and mobile number for us to start the application process.
3.)The applicant can either supply us with a manual form-based application or they could do the application online.
4.)In the absence of a suitable report card or if the academic level of the student is not known (for which grade they should sign up for), the applicant would need to take an Initial Evaluation Assessment. This can be included for a nominal fee, to help determine their academic level, and if they are incorrectly placed, they can upgrade or downgrade without penalty as their studies progress.
5.)The Initial Evaluation Assessments are done online via our E-learning platform. If the applicant does not have access to the Internet, they should go to their nearest Internet Cafe, where we would supply written instructions to the cafe operator to assist where required. These Assessments can be also be done via a mobile phone.
6.)Upon receipt of payment, we will purchase the tablet, load the tablet with all required ebooks and then have the tablet and welcome pack delivered by courier directly to the applicant.
7.)The Sponsoring organization is not required to incur any extra expense to support students or take on additional work to sponsor students that use this program apart from the fees listed above, as the entire program and related workload associated with delivering our education offering is outsourced to Cyber School.
